Library Board Trustee Vacancy

Have you ever wanted to make a difference in the lives of your neighbors?  Do you feel that the public library is an important institution that serves the residents of the community in which you live?  If so, the Franklin-Springboro Public Library needs you.

 

The Franklin-Springboro Public Library serves a 53-square-mile area in northwestern Warren County that encompasses the cities of Franklin and Carlisle, and all of Franklin Township, the city of Springboro and the area of Clearcreek Township that lies west of Bunnel Hill Road.  The Library is served by a volunteer board of seven community members who reside within the library’s service district.  Our board of trustees provides guidance and oversight in the Library’s budget, policies and strategic planning.

 

The term for one member of the Franklin Springboro Library Board of Trustees will expire on December 31, 2020.  Any person who is interested in submitting his/her name for consideration to serve on the Board of Trustees should submit a letter indicating interest in the position.  Letters of interest to serve on the Library’s Board must be received by Friday, October 23, 2020 to be considered.  A document containing information about the duties and responsibilities of a library trustee is available on this webpage below. Each Board member serves a term of seven years.  This position offers no monetary compensation.
