The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carsons

Favorite character is Elisa.  She is innocent and pure.  She changes throughout the story in a somewhat positive way and proves that you don't have to be the stereotypical hero to be a hero.  These traits make me like her.

Favorite character is Isaac.  He is just relatable in so many ways. He makes the reader feel like they could fit in the book.

Favorite character is Bethany. She’s not afraid to get caught when she’s trying to figure out everything.

Favorite character is Tiger Lily.  She is strong and always true to herself.  She reminds me of myself in that she has a hard time expressing her feelings and showing weakness.

 

A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Favorite character is Sara Crewe.  I like how she isn’t all depressed and sad that she doesn’t have any more money.  She is a good example for us when times get tough. 

 

Blythewood by Carol Goodman

Favorite character is Featherbell.  Featherbell has a small role and is a small creature, but her character in a way changes the story.

 

GONE series by Michael Grant

Favorite character is Sam.  I like the way Grant doesn’t push Sam to be the leader.

 

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Favorite character is Hazel.  Because even though she has cancer she still is strong and she acts like nothing is wrong with her.

Favorite character is America Singer.  She is a feisty heroine who is much stronger than she gives herself credit for.
